Re: WIfeWillCutmyNutzOff the Third
I'm having an issue with my EKWB GPU RGB. contacted EK and they are sending me a new strip. The bummer of that is I need to remove the GPU from the system to do that which bums me out. The Blue LED is always on. Even when I go to Dark, it's always on. Here the GPU is trying to go Yellow like the RAM...

Also turns out that the Koolance Flow Meter controller is compatible with the Asus Flow plug. I'm happy to see that. Now I know the reading isn't correct, I and don't care that it's not "calibrated" but I know at max speed it shows 90l/m and when at the slow rate it's at 30l/m.. so with that I know ...

Re: WIfeWillCutmyNutzOff the Third
Thanks, it's my go-to benching monitor. does 1600x1200. I couldn't ask for anything better. I have a VGA to HDMI adapter so it really just works. I've thought about replacing it with a cheap 1080p screen but I've had that monitor now since 2005.. it just works... Now to report... the Rig is finally ...

Re: WIfeWillCutmyNutzOff the Third
So I ended up getting something odd with the new build as well. it looks like the temp probe that I had at the CPU block caused some sort of corrosion that was isolated to that area. I got my GPU and WB so it was time to break down the loop and put those items in there and while there I cleaned ever...

block and rad are copper, res is plastic and glass with a SS internal grill. The fittings are all black anodized aluminum. Can't really get copper fittings. in another forum I frequent they suggest plasticizer from the tubing, could be. I've never seen it in person. the sludge has no smell and took ...

What the Actual F***... Bacteria in a Glycol Loop
So I've migrated over to my 5800x custom cooled rig for about 2 months now. That means that my 1700x rig has been sitting powered off since... I went to power it on last night and noticed this... and happy I did... I did not power it on... 20210526_142527 (Large).jpg 20210526_142612 (Large).jpg you ...

Re: Photoshop workstation: Windows Storage Pools
it depends on your risk and fear of data loss. doing that is only hardware redundancy. if you get a virus, delete the data and clear the recycle bin, randsomware, the data is lost. I don't in mine. I have my pool set as a RAID 0 array for speed (fixed size, hardware raid set in the MB). and then my ...

Re: Photoshop workstation: Windows Storage Pools
Great questions. my thoughts... 1) Yep, good option 2) 2TB NVME's are not that expensive anymore. you can get a samsung or sabrent (my prefered manufacturers) at a decent cost. 3) Sure, but a windows file pool requires a disk to be inserted RAW (MBR/GPT). you can just do that with the ports on the M...

Re: Finally gave up and did a GPU Pre-Order
Ah, ya, I saw that one. I'm on a canadian Discord group and it's been good. I messed up the drop last week and couldn't sign in to my BB account and the 3080 I had in my cart I lost. That sign-in issue is fixed and I have all my payment shit already entered so I won't be messing that up again... I'm...
