Unread post by Vinster »

Computer has been running great for nearly 6 months without a boot-loop.. and today, did a boot-loop...

going in the bios, all my saved profiles are gone... fack... this blows.

Only thing that wipes your profiles is bios failure or a flash.
If you have dual bios, you may be on the backup right now.
Loved by thousands, hated by millions.

Did it brick settings or you get them back?

If: this was an update Wednesday (next big one is due on the 28th)
Check updates, if you can get access to any logs or patch info look for bios and cpu micro code updates.

I'll have to look. there was only a single profile present and not one I created.

the rig is finally folding so I didn't want to re-boot it. I'm planing on giving it a reboot tonight and see if my stuff comes back.

I didn't think this MB had a dual bios and I haven't done a bios update. odd

I'll let you guys know.

Yaaahh, after a re-boot. everything is back to normal. that is freaking weird...

at least I know now... my 2019 bios will run under a Win95 saying... "When in doubt, reboot"
