Looks like AMD will release the next gen Threadrippers in November 2021 and will utilize the trx40 socket. This aligns pretty close to the 12th gen Intel release, Alder Lake. I am thinking I am going to hold my Haswell replacement until some more details (and price) are released for these two releases.
